All requests to order items from www.fairtradeatstmichaels.co.uk (referred to in these Terms & Conditions as “we” and “us”) will be provisional and non-binding unless or until a “Confirmation of Order” email has been sent to the e-mail address of the registered user. For the avoidance of doubt a contract between the parties shall not be established until this takes place.
The description of goods in our website www.fairtradeatstmichaels.co.uk does not constitute a contractual offer to sell the goods.
Any description is for illustrative purposes only. As craft items are individually made by hand there may be small discrepancies in colour or size. If this causes a problem we are willing to exchange goods, with proof of sale within the previous 28 days.
The order process is set out on the website. Each step allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting the order. It is your responsibility to check that you have used the ordering process correctly.
A contract will be formed for the sale of goods ordered only when you have received an email from us confirming the order. You must ensure that the confirmation of order is complete and accurate and let us know immediately of any errors. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in the order made by you, although we will do what we can to set things right.
All goods are subject to availability. If an item you have ordered is out of stock we will issue a refund.
We do our best to ensure that prices shown on the website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling your order. If we don’t receive an order confirmation within 14 days of informing you of the error, the order will be cancelled. If you cancel, we will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit/debit card for the goods.
Prices include any VAT chargeable on items.
Payment is made when ordering. We accept all major credit/debit cards.

We try to ensure that we have sufficient stock but know that some items sell faster than expected and although we will always try to get stock replenished it is not always possible. We will get in touch with you if there is an item in your basket that is currently out of stock, and we will issue a refund for that item. We accept no liability arising from any inability to supply goods due to lack of stock other than returning any payments made to you.
As soon as an order is received, we will send you an email confirming its receipt. This email should be received at the very latest within 24 hours of putting in your order . If you do not receive an order confirmation email, please contact us using the methods outlined in the ‘contact us’ section.
Once an order is confirmed we will let you know when it is ready to be collected. We will try to do this within 2 working days of your order confirmation. Orders must be collected during shop opening hours, 10am – 5pm Monday to Saturday.
We will keep the order in the shop for 7 calendar days after you have been told that it is ready for collection. If you do not collect it within this time we will cancel the order and reimburse your money unless you have contacted us to make another arrangement.
If you prefer to collect an order without entering the shop e.g. if you are shielding for health reasons, alternative arrangements can be made by request on 01865 722505. In the circumstances of the shop having to close through forces outside our control we will discuss collection arrangements with you.
A few items can be posted to you by arrangement, instead of collecting. At present time this offer is just for masks and for net scarves. They are sent for delivery by Royal Mail and will take 2-3 working days. We aim to dispatch your order on the same day (excluding weekends) or the next working day. However, at busy times please allow longer for delivery. If you require your order urgently, please contact us. Additional postage charges apply.
If you wish to return an item you are liable for posting it back to us. Please provide proof of purchase. We do not accept opened mask packages.
As a consumer you have the right to cancel your contract. Should you want to do so please let us know as soon as possible, and we will refund your money.
If you have not collected the order within 7 calendar days of being told it is ready we will deem the order to be cancelled (see “Collection” above.)
The cancellation does not apply after you have received your items. However, if an item is unsatisfactory, and is still in a saleable form i.e. has not been opened or otherwise damaged we will arrange a refund on return of goods and proof of purchase. Refunds may take up to 10 working days to show up on your account.
We comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act. Unless expressly volunteered, any data we hold will not be used for any mailings and will not be passed to any third party.

Fairtrade at St Michaels reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the Fairtrade at St Michaels site.
