You may have spotted our banners out in our courtyard this week. Farmers in the Global South are feeling the effects of climate change right now. We want to amplify their voices, because the foods that we enjoy are becoming more & more difficult to grow as farmers have to tackle unpredictable weather patterns.
Throwback to 2015, we had visits from Fairtrade sugar, rice and tea Farmers from India & Malawi. Back then, they had expressed how climate change was making farming increasingly challenging, but thankfully the Fairtrade Premium has enabled them to invest in methods that has helped them tackle climate issues.
However, governments need to take action to avert the climate crisis, if any significant change is to happen. We are joining the @fairtradeuk in demanding climate justice for farmers!
