FAIRTRADE AT ST MICHAELS: RE-OPENING ARRANGEMENTS
We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to Fairtrade at St Michaels following the announcement from the government that ‘non-essential’ shops are now permitted to open. We believe that fair trade has never been more essential, so we can’t wait to get up and running again!
In line with government guidelines we have introduced various safety measures to comply with social distancing and hygiene requirements, for the wellbeing of our customers and staff.
We are limiting the number of customers in the shop at any one time to three, so you may be asked to wait outside until someone else has left. Please observe social distancing guidelines while you wait. Once inside, stickers on the floor will indicate a one-way system round the shop and safe distances to stand while queueing at the counter.
We have installed screens at the till and our staff will be wearing face masks. Face coverings are not obligatory for customers, but since the shop is such a small and confined space we do recommend them; we will have some spare masks available if you would like one.
Hand hygiene remains important for both customers and staff. There will be a hand gel dispenser near the door of the shop for you to use on your way in and out.
We would prefer to take contactless payment by card where possible, and ask you not to handle goods in the shop more than necessary unless you are buying them. There will always be a staff member available and pleased to help you with any enquiries.
Our opening hours will be shorter than usual: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 11am -2.30pm. We hope we will be able to extend these soon to something nearer normal.
We’re very grateful for your continued support and understanding during these strange times, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
