One Village
The One Village project with Afgan refugees began in the late 1990s in Pakistan. Up to 3 million Afghan refugees were living in the refugee camps in Pakistan. The project aimed to create a livelihood for the refugees through producing the leather bags. The leather is made from goat skin and orginates from Afganistan. Since starting the project refugees have returned to Afghanisation and the future for the project is now uncertain.
